Planted a row…have too much produce?
The Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau Young Leaders are helping to drive out hunger and have teamed up with the University of Illinois Extension- Winnebago County.
We encourage gardeners who have an overabundance of vegetables from their gardens to donate their extra produce to help end hunger.
Produce may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau office located at 1925 S. Meridian Road, Rockford.
The produce is then donated to the Rock River Valley Food Pantry in Rockford. Don’t have a garden and would like to lend a hand, we are also accepting dry goods as well.
